This page contains a collection of downloadable IQ recordings and packet captures from various satellites. These 2CH WAV (16-bit PCM) files can be played back in software such as SDR++ or SDRSharp. Packet captures are binary files which generally require compatible decoding software to be converted into useful data.

COMS-1 LRIT (Full Disk 02)

COMS-1 was a geostationary meteorological satellite operated by the National Meteorological Satellite Center (NMSC) of the Korea Meteorological Administration.

This file contains Virtual Channel Data Units (VCDUs) from the Low Rate Information (LRIT) downlink which can be processed into meteorological image files.

Himawari-8 Imagery via HimawariCast

HimawariCast is a satellite data service operated by the Meteorological Satellite Center of the Japan Meteorological Agency. This service disseminates satellite imagery via the Japanese communications satellite JCSAT-2B.

This file contains packets from the proprietary KenCast Fazzt file delivery system used by HimawariCast which can be processed into meteorological image files.
